Ashley = Liability

The degree of nuisance is increasing because I seem to be meeting more than two handfuls of females with stereotype names matching with stereotype appearances. Why has society fallen into a deep sense of relaxation to let girls become this way when they shouldn't be - the usual suspects? Produce some originality. Common is cliché. Even the bruhs have followed suit. It seems everyone wants to be a part of something or else they're going to get thrown to the wolves. ...And then there's the overdoers. They, and their pomp egos, should be thrown to the wolves.

Oh, Yeah::

Wandering the halls of ol' college, awaiting to pick up a friend, I stumbled upon the music department and a soloist, an operatic singer, was belting out some noise onto the microphone. This man's voice was the lowest I've ever heard. I didn't know the vocal chords could choke this low. I have a hard time singing in general, let alone reaching those extreme frequencies. It's a good thing bathroom walls have Auto-Tune.

He's Wearing Two Glasseses::

Paul Chambers is one of those artists that has been around the industry for awhile, yet this writer has only now had the pleasure of taking the time out of his busy day of music and music paraphernalia to enjoy this off-kilter style. Eh, all electronica is off-kilter, maybe this is off-off-kilter? Perhaps balance isn't always the answer.

We need more outcasts in our lives sometimes.

We're Not Worthy::

Sometimes it's enjoyable to be able to turn down the voice track and consume the background noise known as instrumentals. It's practically a remix of the same song but it's the original song. This Thomas Gold Remix instrumental is like a remix of the remix of the original, yet not a remix to the original, but the original's remix as an instrumental.

Just Slide With Me::

When listening to music, each individual thinks about something totally different that relates to what they are hearing. One person could be envisioning silhouettes of nude female bodies or visualizing a tall stack of turtles and hearing an omniscient narrator rhyming. This is one of the reasons why creativity is a key factor in order to live a sane life. It helps us put things into perspective, showing us different points of view to contrast what we numbly see everyday.

Mega Pwned::

It's enjoyable to observe the ego take over and cause humiliation to celebrities, specifically ones that are diva and are regretfully asked to sing America's national anthem in front of a billion spectators. This shows that the diva can't always get what she (sometimes he, ah-hem...Kanye) wants. And when individuals of power are pulled down from their pedestals, by shooting themselves in the foot, for at least a blink, the lower class value increases and the world is that much closer to unity. So Bush, Aguilera, Jackson, Simpson, care for more syrup on your ego?

Night Smells Better::

Life is always a work in progress, especially in the field of romance. That other person will always have flaws. It's up to you to go past the flaws and become infatuated with that other person's presence...but this Ultrsyd work in progress seems like a rare diamond.

On Purée::

Grand Hotel Records premieres this rip-roarious original meld of small-back hip hop and large-front electro-fidget sounds. There's a sense of The Prodigy influence in addition to Boys Noize and Justice. I'm interested in hearing more originals. Keep 'em coming.

Say Hello For Me::

Deep in the congested throat of Los Angeles was the Hard Summer Music Festival. A mixology of faces came out of the crevices of the city's Latino mountain range to come face-to-face with Chromeo, Duck Sauce, and Boys Noize. Security was tight so Frisco fans had no trouble standing adjacent aficionados in Dodger Blue. One thing, though, I wish they would create a beer garden that looks like a beer garden.

I Only Have Euros::

The other day a friend of mine bumped into the DJ tripod known as The Glitch Mob. He tells me he had an interesting small talk session with them about stripper poles at nightclubs. Not only do go-go dancers hobble around on the sub-woofers, but additionally, they give bonus points on a pole strapped on top. Next thing you know the girls will be activating their electromagnetic third eye and luring the boys' hands into the pockets to draw out dollar bills and crimping them into any nook and cranny appropriate.
